How to Unlock SpongeBob in Save the Krusty Krab

SpongeBob's Doubloon cost, the class-menu purchase steps, what auto-flip does, and whether to buy Jim before saving for him.

Quick answer

Open Classes in the lobby, select SpongeBob in the SKINS panel and unlock him for 2,500 Doubloons. His listed Level 1 perk cooks two patties at once and automatically flips them. You spend permanent Doubloons, not the restaurant cash earned during a shift.

Where to buy the SpongeBob class

  1. Return to the lobby and open the Classes button with the patty and spatula icon.
  2. Select SpongeBob in the SKINS menu. Check the character name rather than choosing an optional costume.
  3. Compare your gold Doubloon balance with the displayed unlock price.
  4. Buy the base class when you have enough Doubloons, then select it for your next shift.

A character unlock and a skin are separate purchases. You do not need to buy a costume to get the base cooking perk. The Halloween event announcement alone does not establish any new skin price.

How to save enough Doubloons

Check lobby Tasks after your runs and claim completed objectives. The official Achievements announcement also describes earning extra Doubloons through in-game challenges. Our Doubloon guide separates those methods from restaurant cash and lists reported payouts with their uncertainties.

There is no verified code that instantly unlocks SpongeBob in the public sources reviewed. Use the Doubloon planner to compare your balance with his cost; we do not have a measured number of runs or an hourly farming rate for reaching it.

SpongeBob vs Jim: which cook should you buy?

Our recommendation is Jim first if your current problem is getting through early shifts. Save directly for SpongeBob if you are comfortable with your current class and specifically want his two-patty workflow. Buying Jim first adds his cost to your total spending; it is a useful intermediate upgrade, not a prerequisite for SpongeBob.

What auto-flip does and what you still handle

Auto-flip covers the patty grill. It does not put out a Coral Bits fryer fire, assemble a correct order or deliver it for you. Keep checking customer tickets and the fryer while using the cooking perk. Follow the grill and fryer fire guide for the separate hazards.

In a crew, SpongeBob fits the grill role while teammates cover orders and deliveries. In a solo run, you still rotate through every station and manage your energy. Faster cooking is most useful when the rest of that loop stays under control.

Level 2 and Level 3 are a separate comparison

The published class panel lists 5,000 XP to reach SpongeBob Level 2. We have not verified the exact higher-level perks or claims that max-level Jim is faster. The comparison above uses listed Level 1 abilities.

SpongeBob unlock FAQ

How much does SpongeBob cost?

His listed base-class unlock is 2,500 Doubloons. Check the current SKINS panel before buying.

Do I need Robux to unlock SpongeBob?

The class is priced in Doubloons. Tasks and achievements provide free earning routes; buying currency with Robux is optional.

Do I have to unlock Jim first?

No. Jim is our suggested early cooking upgrade, not a required step in SpongeBob's unlock path.

Does SpongeBob stop every kitchen fire?

No. His listed auto-flip perk helps with patties on the grill; Coral Bits in the fryer still need attention.
