How to Prevent and Put Out Fires in Save the Krusty Krab
Fires cost stars and eat time. Here's what starts them, how to stop them happening, and what to do when one breaks out.

Quick answer
Take each patty off the grill while its cooking slider is in the green, and don’t leave Coral Bits in the fryer. If a fire starts, grab the fire extinguisher from the wooden pillar in the dining room (Pearl starts with her own) and put it out before going back to orders.

How to prevent fires
- Watch the slider. Each patty has a red and green slider. Finish it in the green.
- Don’t walk away from the grill to take orders while patties are cooking, unless someone else is watching it.
- Cook in batches you can handle. Only grill what you can pull off in time.
- Play SpongeBob. He auto-flips cooked patties, so they don’t burn while you’re at the register. He doesn’t protect the fryer.
- Look for auto-flip in the Night Shop. Players report a Night Shop upgrade that adds auto-flip without SpongeBob, and that by around Day 40 a crew can have every patty flipping itself. We haven’t confirmed this yet.
How to put a fire out
- Get the fire extinguisher from the station on the wooden pillar in the dining room, or use Pearl’s.
- Put the fire out before anything else. Fires cost stars.
- Go back to the station and restart whatever order was cooking.
